It is with overwhelming emotion that we have to announce that our good friend and bassist, Dino Scoppettone, lost his battle to cancer on Monday, August 18. He was diagnosed with Liposarcoma in May and had 30 pounds removed from a tumor residing in his abdomen. Thanks to modern medicine and the love of his friends and family, a recovery seemed certain but the cancer proved too aggressive and was not slowed down by recent chemotherapy. Dino's father, Dick Scoppettone, will be updating Dino's blog with information about the upcoming services. To our immediate Mirror Image family, thank you so much for the support throughout the years and I hope that Dino left a wonderful impression with you. He is an unforgettable person, to say the least. To our virtual Mirror Image internet family, I hope Dino's playing will also leave a wonderful impression on you. The band would be nothing without him laying down the bottom end on all of the wonderful songs the band created since we formed in 2004. We certainly would've have had 4 great years together without his unique blend of relentless humor and fatherly discipline.
